'86 K75C - Installing Engine Guards - HELP!
«

Purchased a set of K75 engine guards from another rider. It came with brackets, hardware, and both guards.
I can't for the life of me figure out how these things go on.
Does anybody have instructions?
Thanks, J

Well there are 3 mounting points for each side.
The 2-point brackets bolt to the threaded holes in the bottom edge of the oil pan(one on each side).
There may be some rubber plugs in the holes you need to remove.
The upper part of the bracket uses another (adapter bolt) that replaces the existing engine/frame mounting bolt.
I presumed you are talking about just the "standard" guards for the front, not the extra "rear" set for the police version, as I don't have a clue how they bolt up.

Scott,
Thanks for the info. Yes, they are just the standard guards.
I will check out the mounting you described. If it doesn't make sense, I will take some pictures so we can figure out what I am screwing up.

Why yes; yes it would.
That is exactly what I was hoping to see.
Where did you find this?
Thank you.
