Hi Frankenduck, thax for this great informative post.
I however seem to have a leak in the rear transmission area you have not mentioned, its leaking from the seal around the spline(where the swing arm connects)  just above the clutch arm boot.
Do you by any chance know the part number for this?

after miss understanding your post I ordered part number 23121451151 , but its too small :(

A quick look at Max BMWs parts fiche shows this for the trans output shaft:


23_1156 - 5 SPEED TRANSMISSION-OUTPUT SHAFT


You appear to want part number 18 on this drawing.

Hi Guys, I have the same problem with an oil leak from the transmission output shaft where the driveshaft fits onto. I was wondering if this seal can be replaced easily without opening the transmission or if there are any special tools? I just scored an 88 K75C and it's a thing of beauty and real smooth to ride. Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks!

Yes, the input shaft seal and the clutch rod push seal can both be replaced without opening the transmission.  I recently did both while doing a spline lube.  The input shaft seal is not an issue, the clutch push rod seal is a pain to get out but is eventually possible.
