What's a Proper Kickstand Lean Angle for the K100?

Mine feels like it drops way over. Is this normal? I had an RT previously, and I don't recall that one leaning quite as far.

My 91 75RT leaned WAY over also and when replacing the pivot bushing didn't help much, I made a pad for the foot.  I used a one inch thick piece of plastic cut to shape and drilled two holes to bolt it on.

I suspect that the radical lean these bikes have when they're on the side stand is intentional to lower the seat height so as to allow mere mortals to be able to swing a leg over it.
