I have 6,500 miles on my Pilot Activs since I installed them in July. I have ridden them in rain and sun, in temps ranging from 35 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit, and over 55 mph curving backroads to 85 mph interstate runs. I am pretty happy with them. They follow rain groove a little bit more than the Dunlop D404s they replaced, but they are giving me a much longer service life. I don't think I have another 6,500 miles in them, however. Another 5,000 miles perhaps, but based on what they looked like new I would saw I am over halfway through their lifespan. The front tire is beginning to show a very slight amount of scalloping.
I installed Dybabeads in these tires along with their filtered schraeder valves. Every time I turn the cap off the valve stem to check air pressure, the valves hiss loudly as they lose air. I need to try different valve stem caps to see if they do not leak, but I am not overly impressed with the filtered valves. I always have to add air, but I do not know if they are loosing air while riding or loosing it all when I remove the cap.
