To avoid this confusion over the number of cylinders versus the number of valves, I just refer to K bikes as either "2 valve", or "4 valve" engines. That is, I only refer to the number of valves for each cylinder.
If it's a k75 (of course with three cylinders), then it is a 2 valve engine (with a total of 6 valves).
I guess it depends on what you feel like counting. The total number of valves, or the valves per cylinder. I prefer the latter.
