Estimated weight? K11/K100
« on: December 09, 2015, 09:58:52 AM »
Has anyone weighed a k100 or k11 without fairing and ABS deleted? Or any condition close by. Or could anyone estimate the weight?

This site gives the weight of a naked K100 with a full fuel tank. It doesn't specify whether it has ABS brakes.

If data isn't coming in fast enough for you, ramnaam, you can go to this site and add up the weight of the various components that interest you.

Assuming you're talking the K100RT fairing.  Looking up specs for the bikes -- RT, Naked -- the difference in weight for the fairing is about 14KG / 31 lbs.  Add in the weight of ABS of about 11 KG / 25 lbs.  means the equipment delete will net you about 25 KG / 56 lbs. savings in weight.

I think the ABS weighs more than 25lb. I was really surprised when I picked up the box of components after removing ABS from my K11LT, it was a 'lift with your knees moment'. I might throw it on a scale and see.

MAX BMW lists K100RS ABS modulators at around nine pounds each.
