Restoring a K100

I bought a parts bike a month ago thinking it was good for spares and not much more.  When I got it home and connected everything back up it started first thing.  So... Instead of wrecking it I decided to make it a project bike.  Over the next ????  many months (or years) I'll restore this bike to better than new and blog the process.

Did a big more prep work on the weekend. Cleared up the garage and bought a few tools. Ready to go.

Week 5 - Removing the exhaust. I also check out the instrument cluster but someone has previously tried to fix it using about 15 tubes of silicon to stick the ribbon cables together so it's pretty much rooted. I'll have to look at an after market instrument, anyone want to make a suggestion or have experience in after market instruments for K bikes?
