Hello,

I am trying to find headers and the 4 into 1 piece for a 1985 k100 so  i can attach an aftermarket muffler, figured i would ask here prior to looking on on ebay, thanks!!

No such thing on the '85: the 4 headers push into 4 individual openings on the front of the muffler.

well than i suppose i just need the 4 header pipes if anyone has spares or old parts laying around

Remus did manufacture headers for 84-89 K100's. Used to, mind.

Pretty much the only thing you can do outside of paying for bespoke fabrication is to create a Google Alert using the keywords 'Remus', 'K100', 'Exhaust', 'Headers', etc. and be patient for the alerts to show up in your gmails.

my bike came with a decent exhaust -- too decent to hack up!!

 i am just trying to create a shorter one as part of cafe conversion

any thoughts??

ferst thing i would do is check ebay then call all of these folks...

Use what you have: remove the entire exhaust system, unbolt the individual headers from the collector and...start polishing. Steel wool, wet/dry sandpaper, chrome polishing paste, elbow grease o'plenty. You'll get there.

If you want them shortened, that's a fairly straightforward proposition for any competent muffler shop to hack them down to your specs and fabricate and collector into which they meet. From there you'll have an easy way to bolt/weld on additional piping and end can.

Don't want to spend the time burnishing the pipes? Consider exhaust wrapping. All the rage for the 'cafe' look these days and it'll move the exhaust gas heat downstream more effectively anyway.
