Riddle me this
« on: July 12, 2013, 03:30:08 AM »
Okay got another inquiry about something I've run across. Can anyone tell me anything about the backrest on this K100, is it a BMW part or after-market, can one be had for my K1100rs?
They call him Big Al,
women love him,
men want to be him...

That is an old school now out of production after market rack and back rest by I believe Reynolds? Some one here will know the mfr and if you search this site you can see it referenced a few times.

looks like a Reynolds Rack with backrest.  Very nice rack when you can find them.
You can't help someone who doesn't want to hear the answer.

Yes, it sure looks like a Reynolds.  I have a Reynolds rack on my Airhead.  Very nice stuff, but long out of production and hard to find.

There's one on ebay now, no backrest and a little pricey.  They do show up once in a while.  Also possible someone selling a bike with one might sell it separately.
