FS 1991 K75S Very Low Miles
« on: June 10, 2026, 12:29:22 PM »
Hello Brickheads,
I'm posting this up to see the level of interest in purchasing a well maintained 1991 K75S only 9060 miles with city bags and tank bag, full tool kit. Accessories are rear Koni shock and a Staintune pipe (included not installed). The bike sat a long while in a Hollywood showroom, I acquired in 2019 not running, went through it added accessories and ride it bi-weekly now. The photos speak for themselves. Kali registration till July 2027. Added a chart to show K75s comps in California. Thanks for your interest and comments. :popcorm

What is your asking price?  Has it been ridden regularly recently?  Or sat in a garage for a long time?

Lovely Bike - almost new, which it should be with that mileage...

I'm in the UK but would love it, funnily enough I just fitted an 8k Mile drivetrain to my K75C to make mine mechanically new
- see https://bmwr65bmwk75.wordpress.com/2026/06/09/why-this-hybrid-k75-will-outlast-us-all/

How much in Dollars?
 - sadly K75s seem to fetch more in parts than they do as complete Bikes now... which is still a bit crazy, but yours is a rare bird...

I'm sure there will be a lot of interest, and I know I'm interested, but seems like a fishing expedition.  Photos look good but more info would be helpful.  Asking Price?   Maintenance history?   How long sitting, or how long sitting between rides?    You know, that kind of thing.

I think the S models are too uncomfortable to ride long and far upon, hence many have low models although they have touring bags and tragkorbs.   I fully expect others to disagree but I'll take a more upright riding posture any day for longer stints on the seat.

Great find!
The K appreciation club is not very big. Depends on how much you think you can get, it might never sell. At least if it was in Europe.

no issues putting long miles on my K75S.  Riding position is PERFECT.  very comfortable with totally stock setup.  never want a bike where i feel upright like in a chair....

That'd be a Staintune exhaust, not Stayintune...

Corrected Staintune and added a chart showing comparable sales in this area, and a comment on history of the bike. Have maintenance records but only my own, I perform all my own work. Thanks for your questions.

The excellent condition of this Brick is certainly enhanced by its registration with widely-recognized goddess of destruction.Thieves and vandals will likely stay away from it.

Science at Work
Most toddlers here got a Red tricycle  as their first bike.   My Red 1991 K75s posted here got eleven replies in two days, my Maroon 1993 Mystic viewed 9243 times got two-replies since September 2025 - scientific proof that Brickheads prefer Redheads.  https://motobrick.com/index.php?topic=16156.0     :laughing4-giggles:

It's a beauty and I love the wheels. I can't believe that there was a time that my K75 RT looked as new and untarnished as that.

Soooo, is there a price? I see your chart, but that doesn't tell me how much YOU are asking for this bike. I am 2k miles away so have to factor in the time off work, expense to get there, and cost to ride it home. (and yes, I am interested)

No price.   :idunno:

This is a test to determine the level of interest in a nice Brick. If I may give my opinion, my '93 Mystic is a more refined model, upgraded suspension, smoother ride due to ABS adding weight and yet nobody is interested in a flawless Mystic with 18k low miles.

There's a '94 Mystic like mine in Santa Monica (LA, CA), 90k on it, not running, for those with $1500 a trailer and time to restore it. Posted For Sale on Facebook for those with an account there.
Cheers!

As for the '91:
This site doesn't work well as an ersatz auction site. Sellers in the past that have tried "testing the water" the way you are, had similarly disappointing response. Many buyers are wary of sale offerings without prices. Decide your lowest price; set a posted price and bargain from there.

As for the '93 ad.  Posting on BaT usually does the trick if no reserve has been set, but your experience was an outlier. I hope you sorted out that discrepancy in the paperwork for future sales.

With no reserve, either of these Bricks would sell on BaT if the paperwork was unassailable. It's a crap shoot, of course, but sometimes the final prices can be pleasantly and surprisingly high. More often, with specimens like yours, the sold-price is in the 4500–3000 USD range. What surprises me is café racers, with all their impracticality, awkwardness, and discomfort, go into the 6K to 9K USD range. Maybe you should strip yours to their bones, and sell the leftover parts here. :laughing1:

Both of yours are good specimens but demand is down and the parts supply—both domestic and aftermarket—is diminishing. In some cases, part prices are increasing.

Good luck with your sale!
