Oil Pressure Switch Wires
« on: June 25, 2023, 10:22:14 AM »

I have 2 wires coming from the Hall Sensor Cover that disappear into the engine towards the oil pressure switch.

One is a black OEM wire (the tag is ripped so I can’t see the oem label) and the other is a green/brown that I understand goes to the oil pressure sensor.

Does anyone know what the black wire is supposed to be?

Sensor for the temp gauge.
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

Mmm I'm not sure that's it. Unless I’m mistaken, the wires for the Temp Sensor are Green/Violet and the sensor itself is attached to the engine in a different location just below the fan (pic attached)

The temperature gauge is the topic of frankenduck's post. If you've got a gauge, there's a temperature sensor screwed into the water pump to which the gauge is attached by the wire illustrated here.

Disregard my last comment, y'all are both correct. Looks like it is for a second sensor for a Temp "Gauge" which is connected to Additional Instruments. My wiring diagram doesn't show it which had been confusing me.
