« on: July 04, 2021, 07:20:26 AM »
Helo all!
I'm working on my K75 to wake it up after 6 years, and i would like to know how to test if my front bearings are good, or if i change them straight.

i'seen these:
https://www.euromotoelectrics.com/product-p/wheelbearing335.htm

i guess is a 2 bearings and 2 bearing seals for the front wheel right?

Thanks!

i guess . .  .
You aren't actually guessing, are you, foliver? You have a service manual, correct?

Those bearings are not for your moto's front wheel. Look at the Application Table on that page. Your moto isn't on its list for fit. That bearing is an angular ball bearing. Yours are sealed grooved ball bearings.

Test the bearings in the wheel when it is mounted on the fork. With the wheel off the pavement, grip the wheel on opposite sides then try to wiggle it backwards and forwards. Move the wheel 90º and try wiggling it again. If there is no movement, rotate it to listen for grinding within the bearing. Don't mistake the noise of brake pads scraping on the rotor for noise coming from the bearings. Listen at both sides of the wheel.

If there is no movement or noise, replacement of the bearings is your choice and depends on your ability to tolerate uncertainty.  :laughing4-giggles:

It's very rare for K front wheel bearings to go bad.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.
