this could be a contender . . .
Fly and ride. It's a great way to bond with a "new" bike.
Make it 48 hours and stop to smell the roses, or the paper mills.
There's this. St Albans was close enough for Confederate raiders to rob a bank there so it's closer than you think.
only 1500 miles. If it was closer, I'd jump on it. How close is that to you?
If it were me, I'd try for a fly and ride. I bought a K75S in Texas that I rode home 2000 miles in 5 days. Was a great way to buy a bike. Nice excuse for a trip. The RT in St. Albans is priced to high for the crappy photos the seller posted. Regarding the market in used bikes and cars. Was talking about it at coffee this morning with some friends who follow it pretty close. Whether or not it's related to the stimulus checks going out, there are fewer used bikes of any size or make around here this spring than anyone can remember. A local dealer who usually has an inventory of 250+ used bikes is down to only 30-40 unsold bikes in his warehouse and is begging people to bring their bikes in. Used cars are getting 15-20% more than last Fall right now as well.
The guy backed out of the deal, so I'm back to the search.
You,re limited by the angle of the screen.
I solved the buffeting issue by cutting down an old windshield. It put my helmet up in clear air with the turbulence down on my chest.
