Hi all!
I am trying to take advantage of my final days of spring break, and the fact that it's yucky wet outside to get the K1100 (1996, SE model) ready for spring.
Not without issue, I believe I have successfully replaced the K&N air filter with a brand new one (non-K&N). If I can figure out how to get the housing clips back on, that part will be complete.
I want to replace the fuel filter. When I unscrewed the four phillips screws and went to lift out the filler cap assembly, it wouldn't budge! Any ideas on how to free this up so I can remove this assembly and give myself access to the inside of the fuel tank? I am leery of any solvents (WD40, PB Blaster) as I don't want anything to hurt my paint.
If it is not yet apparent, I am not very mechanically inclined, but I am trying my best to learn and grow.
That's all for now... more for sure as I move on to fluid changes!
