K75s 1987-a few more questions-Heated Grips

I am waiting for parts before I start up the bike. Now fixing the heated grip(left grip is the problem). The left grip has the Bmw wiring through the bar ends and I am going to replace the thin resistance wiring. The left grip cover is cut and I will have to get a new one. Were these grips grey or black in color? I do not want to remove the Right Grip because of the possibility of destroying the thin heat wire but I would like them to match. I would buy the whole unit if it would match. Were do I get a matching left grip that is for heated grips that will match the right grip which is now a grey color? thanks Jim

You can save the original grip if in good condition by using a high pressure air line to blow the grip off the bar, takes a bit of trying but it works.
But check the connection from the switch first before going for the bar windings.

I purchased heated grips last year for K75S and the kit came with grey handles.
