Front brakes changing to Goodridge Hoses - Question
« on: June 13, 2017, 04:51:29 PM »
Changing front hoses due to MOT advisory and been given some help on the changing of them, so not worried about that side of things.

Question is - the connections between the hoses and the pipes, what the approach regarding tightening them up ..

1. Hose into top of front wheel splitter and top of Rad into pipe
2. Hose from front brake to pipe
3&4. Hose from front calipers into splitter

Are they nipped and checked for no leaks, tightened as much until firm resistance is felt as not sure there is a torque for these and will be an open spanner anyway ?

there is no needed order to the tightening.

there is a torque for those, but basically just needs to be tight enough to slightly crush the washers to seal.
