1990 K75 RT Headlight Aimed Wrong

G'day.
I noticed that my headlight never seemed to give proper lighting. I took it to a local Walmart and aimed it at the back wall  (no pun intended).
The beam is aimed about 10- 15 degrees into on coming traffic- not the best scenario. So I tried to aim the light but the adjusting screw on the left side does nothing. Any ideas of what could be wrong before I take the fairing off to troubleshoot?

Attached are two illustrations describing headlight adjustment. The first is from the BMW workshop manual. Although it is indicated as K100RT et al. aiming instructions, the K75RT might be similar. Lateral adjustment is done by a screw on the right side.

The second illustration is from the K75 Rider's Manual. It doesn't show a lateral adjustment screw. Is either or both screws the same as those on your bike? Is the screw that isn't having an effect visible in either photo?

Thanks for that work, Laitch.
On my scooter there is no lateral adjustment screw on the right side by the fork leg. There is the vertical assembly that the manual shows. But I do have a knob on the left side of the headlight housing. Mayhaps there was a change of systems somewhere along the way. At any rate twisting the old knob-ola does nothing. Thanks for your help.

Something else that will mess with your light aiming pattern is the actual lamp itself.
These bike were designed around an incandescent type lamp. Standard replacement halogens are ok. I've not experimented with ballasted HID's to know how the affect the lighting pattern.
SOME LED's are not friendly with the lighting pattern. Too much scattering and no projection.

Two other observations. First, mayhaps somebody replaced the headlamp with one that has a left rule lens. Second, mayhaps your fairing has had an impact that left no trace but misaligned the lamp beam which would require alignment of the fairing.
