1995 K75S for sale, $2750 obo
« on: May 23, 2017, 12:50:29 AM »
I rode a K75S many years ago and remembered it fondly. I am planning a few long rides this year before I hang up my spurs, and looked for another K75S for the job. I found a really nice bike not too far from me and bought it. Alas, the intervening years and the arthritis in my hands, wrists and back just do not allow me to comfortably spend much time on it. An 800 mile back roads trip from Albuquerque to Muskogee in the spring made that very clear.

So, it's for sale. 1995 K75S, Silver, 45K, ABS, Aeroflow tall screen, tragkorbs, heated hand grips, new rear tire, new seat cover, new fork seals, fork gaiters. Excellent mechanical shape, a few cosmetic things that are shown in the fotos. I do have the belly pan but had removed it to load the bike onto my truck and just never remounted it. The PO was an engineer and though he did not have much experience in minor bodywork he had it very well maintained. He used to ride it from Las Cruces to Tucson for servicing after his local shop closed. All service items are up to date, everything works as it should. I have already bought another bike so this one needs to go!

Let's see the whole enchilada. Make another post with some text like "Here's some more", upload the next photo like you did the first, then scroll down, click more attachments, add more photos then click Post. You can't see them until you post; it's all faith-based. :2thumbup:

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum...

Appears one can only post a single foto per reply so:

Thanks for the help Laitch. I didn't read it carefully enough first time around. It's late, I'm tired and not as sharp as I used to be either.

Forgot to note that the Givi box has been transferred to my other bike. It leaves the K75 with the Givi adaptor platform which gives you a surface parallel to the road rather than sloping back the way the stock one does. This will allow for mounting a flat plate or another top-box system. I also have the original BMW rack.

stock bars? i am going to guess that if you turned them down the way they are supposed to be, the hand comfort would go up immensely.   mine did.  (i have severe arthritis in my hands too.  properly adjusted stock K75s bars are the best i have found for it.)

Because it has been ridden 40K instead of parked, I think that bike will make a nice, reliable ride for somebody.

Anyone want to make me an offer on this before I put it on Ebay?  I hate to have it just sitting here....

Very nice bike!

I wanted to ask you about your experience with the Aeroflow tall screen? I too have a K75s and I am 6' 3" and it seems that the stock wind screen directs the air flow into my neck and into my helmet.

I'm 6'1" and I found the Aeroflow taller screen is not tall enough. It pushes the air onto my helmet and at speed creates some odd areas of pressure that make it hard to turn my head. I didn't have problems with the stock screen on my old 75S but it also didn't offer the coverage of this one. Mind you, it's all academic as they don't make these anymore. It might work better for you as I assume a bit more of your head will stick up into clean air.
