Can anyone ID this windscreen and top box?
« on: May 20, 2017, 05:07:29 PM »
I saw this on the K bike wikipedia page and haven't seen another K75 with a windshield or top box like this. Were these OEM BMW?

The topbox is THE iconic BMW 22 litre box.  The shield look like what was originally on the K75T, a touring version of the K75C that was offered only in North America in 1986 and maybe '87

The above version of the bike was offered in Europe.  This is what I have and my K75 was purchased new in Rome, Italy.

I don't think the bike pictured is actually a T.  The only ones I've seen were black, definitely not a low seat, and had a touring seat and fog lights.  I think they had pulled back bars compared to a C.  My understanding was that BMWNA modified them after they got to NA but I'm not going to put money on that :riding:

And the T had also a naked K100 headlight surrounding......the blue one is a much later model.

I have one as pictured here in the U.K. . Took a while to find the screen, they are rare but can be ordered new without bracketry.
