86 K100RS missing while hot
« on: April 26, 2017, 11:30:25 AM »
Hi all,
Posted a query on this issue last season, and can't find it.  Anyways, had a pronounced miss when hot, ran fine when cold.  Possible suggestions were coils, wires, hall effect sensor, fuel air.  Anyways, bought a nice used coil pack on eBay, and voila!  Problem solved.

Just posting in case anyone can use the info.

I found it by looking in your post history under your profile. It's at this link. Consider finishing off that thread with the good news so if somebody goes there before they arrive here they'll pick up your solution sooner.

Thanks so much for the follow up.  Hope you follow Laitch's suggestion to post in the original thread.

Early ignition coils are a known weak point, and many just replace them with the new design coils.  Glad to hear you have your bike running for the upcoming riding season.
