Is ABS working? 1992 K1100
« on: January 27, 2017, 02:40:30 PM »
Hi guys, when I turn on the key, I get 3 red lights, oil, battery and temp. And a tik tak sound, like an indicator. When I press the ABS button the tik tak goes away... Is it normal? Or is my ABS gone?

Thanks

I suspect the indicator bulbs for the BMU and the ABS are not working.  Normal operation is lights come on with ignition, and go out after bike has started moving and front and rear brakes have been applied.  In the meantime, the lights blink and the relay that blinks them is what you hear.

OK, so I replaced bulbs. Red triangle and ABS lights start blinking after the bike moves and I apply brakes.
