fuel tank air lock

A quick question about a K75C (1985) - if the breather tube from the fuel tank becomes blocked is it possible to air lock the tank and stop the fuel supply? i.e. partial vacuum in the tank overcoming the capacity of the pump.

Possibly after the walls of the tank have been pulled in--starting with a full load of fuel with no vent could collapse the tank (and stall the pump).
