K100LT Windshield Height
«
on:
October 17, 2016, 06:54:05 PM »
the new to me '87 K100LT came with a clearview shield that is 24" from top to bottom. The top of the shield is right at eye-level. Does anyone know the height of the original windshield that came with the bike? I'd like to get a shorter shield (hopefully an original one if it is shorter) that doesn't interfere with my sight-lines
thanks

I believe 21" 24" & 27'' clear or tinted were available. In Oz there used to be a company that did custom sizes I can't see the US being any different.

If that's the baseline from which you're working, dave, there are several companies that make other heights.
Parabellum
is one of them.

thanks for the replies. Clearview make three sizes, 21", 24", and 27" I spoke to one of their reps and was told that they could take my existing 24" windshield and cut it down to 21" for $40 plus shipping. I think that's the route I'm going to go
