cooling fan alternative 87 K75C?
« on: October 12, 2016, 07:05:40 AM »
Hey guys,
Been reading alot on here about the seemingly notorious BMW cooling fan problems.
I just bought my 87K75C, rode it once and currently got her apart doing all the maintenance.
So, as far as I know the fan is presently in good working order. (spins free and smooth by hand)

Planning to add the "override switch".

A new BMW fan on bobsbmw.com is currently priced at $280+ U.S.  kinda ridiculous.

Can anyone please post a link to a more reliable/less expensive fan unit?

Even if mount mods have to made thats fine.  I can do that.

Go to post number 18 of the thread you posted for the way I did mine.  The Spal 6.5 inch puller fan can be had on eBay for about $60.  Just do a search for it.
