Powerlet plugs
« on: August 27, 2011, 01:37:11 PM »
There are several sources for getting plugs that fit the BMW (a.k.a. Powerlet) socket:

1) John Deere

2) Search Fleabay for "Hella plug"

3) Jim Davis at Eastern Beaver.
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

Every Airhead I've owned had a BMW-style socket to run my heated clothing.  I can't find one on the recently purchased 1985 K100RS.  Did Hans fall asleep at the factory when this bike came down the line?  ??? I've become spoiled by heated grips and clothing and since the bike already does an outstanding job of heating my crotch and thighs, it's a good candidate for a winter mount.
Where to fit the socket.... where?

I have compromising pictures of you too.  Expect a blackmail letter in the mail in the very near future..... :o

A smart photographer would choose a victim of means... that would be someone other than me!
