Very interesting data, what triggered everybody to list?
Hmmmmmmmmm..........only one thing comes to mind.......after Trump's tough-on-illegal-immigrants speech, panic prevailed among the K-Bikes-owned-by-illegal-immigrant owners! They all listed their K-Bikes for sale on EBay, because they know they will never be able smuggle the K-Bike into Canada unnoticed. :euro

Due to the over-whelming public appreciation of cafe & custom K-bikes, now there is a market for what to many as an obscure model, K series. Maybe true preservationists as well as custom builders would agree this opens up the potential avAilable of motorcycles to be preserved or re-purposed into a custom. Either way, you save a K".

Ah...the first dash of fall and the recognition that summer (riding season) is slowing down.  Kind of funny how the first cold day of winter/first warm day of spring always take some of the elderly in our midst.  Kinda like fall cleaning :bmwsmile on the bikes.  Trueace, are you gonna get hit by the hurricane??

As in direct/head-on........Yes. Don't worry I evacuated the bikes to a safe area and left my wife to keep the house safe. And yes, I left her a gun.

And NO K1100RS's.  Hmmmmm?

I just got my first K bike after 40 years on BMW's - lured in by prices that are crazy low.  I expect they are nearing bottom and may go up from here as collector status sets in.  The airheads followed a similar course and are now picking up.  Any basically intact runner of unknown condition is now a $3-4000 bike again.

So let the purge begin.  Buy 'em cheap and stack 'em deep.  I may pick up a K75S if the right one comes along at a stupid price.

Good ones always go fast. The fact that many are for sale is a good sign that K'sare growing in popularity.

People are listing them for that much, but I don't think they're selling at that price (there's also an R60/2 for sale in Philly... for $10k.). A slight bump in the cafe racer/retro interest has definitely helped, but not many people are going to line up to spend that kind of money when you can buy a basket case Honda for $1000 and have an infinitely easier time restoring it or converting it to a cafe racer.

From what I've seen, there are airhead buyers out there, but if you're selling, I hope you aren't in a hurry.
