The Hot K1100RS
« on: August 24, 2011, 10:17:09 PM »
It has been said that if you can only own one Brick make it the K1100RS and I like the way it looks. I think  it's one of the best looking bikes BMW has made. I wonder though, if it was an only bike, can the heat problem be solved? I mean can they be made tolerable enough to be used for in town commuting & daily use without having to wear a flame suit? I have seen some of the insulation suggestions but I don't remember seeing anyone that said "wow, now I can enjoy the bike all summer no matter where I go". Anyone using one as an only bike that feels they've solved the heat problem?

The Johnny Blanket(TM) does make a difference.  If you're planning on sitting at stop lights in 100 degree weather then you should be in a cage with AC.
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.
