Yep, the moniker fits the bike. I like it  ;D

It's a 1985 model, the odometer quit at some point in the past according to the previous owner, the bike pulls strong, the clutch has no issues, but I still need to go through this bike from stem to stern and fix 'er up.

Well, without further blathering from me:

When I brought it home:







About two days or so later, before I dropped the friggin' thing trying to get it on the centerstand. It broke my toe! Beemers are deadly!

Still have yet to finish reworking the heat shield on the exhaust. Might just leave it off, I like the way she looks now. Then again, missus + burned leg = no more missus riding pillion. So, still have yet to finish reworking the heat shield.

Have a whole laundry list of maintenance to get up on as well, but that will come in due time.

Yes, definitely. Seems I've been quite short on time of late, although today's a bit of a change for me. I guess after getting a broken toe I kinda shied away from her, although she fired right up after sitting for a month  :o

Need not let that happen anymore  ;D

EDIT:

Well, as of today, looks like I won't need to worry about taking pics of it. She went to a new home. After buying it, I rode it a total of about 55 miles - 54.2 miles on the day I bought it to get it home, and .5 miles the next day to register the bike. Friggin' shame that it happened that way. Truth is I'm in training right now and will be for quite some time (we're talking one year plus), and this training sucks up my personal time quite a great deal.

So, after careful thought and consideration, I just decided the best thing was to sell the bike and move on. Great bikes, these K-bikes - just wish I could have spent more time with her on the road, not in my garage.

Man, that must set some sort of record of short miles with the "new" bike before movin' on.  My span of ownership typically is measured in decades.  I sure hope that continues with the K100RS I've recently committed to buy.  My bud checked her out for me, as I live quite distant from the seller.  He said she looks and rides good, so... fingers crossed and I hope I'm doing the right thing.  After many, many years of airhead ownership, I'm moving into a more modern era.  Not without the jitters I guess....
