WTB : K1100 Front End
« on: July 17, 2016, 03:47:05 PM »
Would like to buy the forks, brakes, rotor, and even the front wheel of a K1100. I'm planning on swapping them into my K100

There's probably nobody on here that has what you're looking for. However I would ask around on eBay for one. Usually the motorcycle salvage places will keep you in mind. Also the person who I bought my front end from had two in his possession I took one.

Ah, hopefully no one has snatched up that second one then. Can you provide a contact for this wonderful person with an extra K1100 front end?

They had exactly what I needed! Thanks for the tip. I still need to rotors, calipers, and the hand control assembly but those seem to be slightly easier to find than the forks for some reason

Just be sure to look for the right part numbers.

One rim is 2.5x18 the other is 3x17

Good point! Although I'm actually gonna aim for the K1200 rims. I like the 5 spoke wheels a little better than the 3 spoke. Plus, it means I'll have to get a custom front axle machined to for K1100 forks and a K1200 rim, and that sounds fun.
