I have a hard time believing that the regulator i at fault. I have replaced the old one, and there i no change from the old to the new, so I think old one was working fine. Maybe the vacuum is not working, but I put new hoses on and there is suction from the engine.

I had the lid open, and there were some ripples/movement of the fuel, but I could be from the running of the engine.

Is there a valve in the return line that maybe is not working?

I think the best thing to do is pull of the tank and check all the pipes inside - right?

Any other good ideas?

You are running two threads for the same topic, Thor, and apparently missing responses in one of them. That's not helpful. Read these posts then go to the other thread and redirect people to this one.

update from Copenhagen..

I found the problem!!! and the bike now purrs like a kitten!! The culprit was a stuck fuel return valve (the small steel ball was rusted).

So pulled it out and cleaned the it but the ball was to rusted, so now I'm driving without.  :riding:

The pressure is now spot on and only need to put the plastic back on and go for a ride..

Thanks for all the help..!!!

Best regards

under the tank - the returnline is connected to it. I believe it was removed from 1985 model and up by BMW..
