Wanted: Radiator Shroud For A K100
« on: May 11, 2016, 05:02:36 PM »
I am converting my 1992 K75 RT into a plain (naked) K75. Please get in touch if you know of a radiator shroud from a K100 for sale. The front is no longer available (part no. 46631450633). The two side panels are (Part Nos. 46631453155 and 46631453156). If I can get the front piece I can at least order the two side panels. Does anyone know if the front part will fit the two side panels or can be modified to attach them?

Don, is this the same shroud that Tim Tyler used on his bike. The link is http://www.motobrick.com/index.php/topic,3186.25.html
Look at this and if it is I will call you. Yours looks a lot like the one I just took off my K75 RT.

K100 rad shroud won't fit a K75.  They have different dimensions and different mounting AFAIK.

rbm, a K75 RT has a larger radiator than a K75. A radiator Shroud from a K 75 will not work because it uses a small radiator. Since I am converting a K75 RT (which has a larger radiator) the K100 shroud will work. The Shroud that Tim used came from a K100 bike. I am quoting what Tim said when he posted this photo. "I found and installed a K100 radiator shroud which fits the K75 RT model since they share the same fuel tank and larger radiator". That is good enough for me.

Hmm, didn't know about that difference in the rads. Thanks.  Are you aware of the guy in Spain selling reproduction K100 shrouds and bellypans?

The shroud protects the radiator IMO.

True Ace, it's like the difference between seeing a beautiful shaped woman naked and a not so beautiful shaped woman naked. They both look good but you like the look of the beautiful shaped naked woman better.

Always closes my eyes in the dark so they look the same. A NEKED bike don't have no shrouds or side panels to speak of. You ain't so much going for a naked bike as for a Sleek bike. A NEKED bike looks like this.......

A NEKED bike looks like this.......

Take the wussy padding of the seat and the ergo rubba grip off the handlebars and maybe you can call that NEKED.  :hehehe

Now my son would love your bike but only after you changed the seat color and handle bars. Black would be a better color choice for him. But it is your bike so you do what you want and we will do the same.

Wussy, ergo, anorexic?? That's a mean K bike, boys, not a sissy Parisian model! Ya'll got so much heavy plastic on your K's, you don't even know what's underneath! The only way it could be more NEKED would be for me to ride it without pants.

Gaithers, sissy tan seat, and dark brown handle bars. And you want to criticize us. Next thing will be you painting the shifter and brake pedal Hot Pink.
