The car transportation biz is just horrible. A few years ago I purchased a car in Tampa Florida and wanted to have it shipped up to me in Sioux Falls. I registered on UShip and a couple of other sites to get interest and quotes. Oh Lordy, all kinds of people came out of the woodwork, some brokers low ball and then hope to find a truck driver to take it, weeks go by, nothing. I heard of cars showing up with hundreds more miles on the Odo and cars being dropped hundreds of miles from the destination and told to come pick it up. I ended up buying a one way air ticket for $250 and driving it back home. I got calls for 6 months after offering cheap rates to haul my car. I would go with one of the well known companies like Reliable, yep, they cost more but worth it. Ask for a copy of their insurance and ask if the guy picking it up will be delivering it, they sometimes relay on and off trailers and drive the car. Sorry for the negative info, just my experiences.
Pay for an air ticket for a friend or relative to go pick it up, best plan.
