Hi folks. This is my first post aside from the intro. I'm hoping I can get some advice on how to stop my fuel cap from wafting vapors up into my face. Many many brave and valiant brain cells have given the ultimate sacrifice just to get me to work and back without passing out and falling off the bike this last week. I didn't really notice it until I put a bigger windshield on to keep the bugs off my face shield, and then whew ,gas fume city.
There is a rubber gasket down near the bottom of the thing which "looks OK" but probably needs to be replaced. Are there any other bits that I should look at that may be contributing to the problem. I put a supermarket plastic bag under it when I closed the cap this am and it really made a difference, but not a long term fix. Also, any suggestions on where I can get gaskets?
I am really loving this bike. I use it to get back and forth to work and my commute is around the Pepacton reservoir which is probably the sweetest set of twisties I've ever been on. Life is good.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ed
