Engine Covers
« on: April 04, 2016, 12:13:44 PM »
I have a question about cleaning the unpainted sections of the black engine covers on my 92 K75S.

There are stains on the silver portions of the covers (possibly oil or road tar or both) that I would like to remove.

Is there a clear coating on there that would be damaged by steel wool or could I scrub with impunity?

Thanks in advance.

You can use STAINLESS steel wire wool, the other type leaves tiny particles on  & in the surface which will rust.
