I can't say to the 75's or the 100's but on the 1100's the front pads are not quite a exact drop in fit.
You will need to file/dremmel the inside of the "ears" where the pins fit, to allow the pins to go in.
The last 2 sets of these pads I have purchased from them I have had to modify to get them to fit.
My guess is that the punch die set that they use for these backing plates is starting to get worn. Or they are just enough not exact to avoid patent issues......  :dunno2:

I am rather confused :dunno2:...yes I have done about 3 hrs of diligence...I ordered the pad set VBP208 from d2moto (http://www.ebay.com/itm/1988-1989-BMW-K100RS-8-valve-Kevlar-Carbon-Front-Brake-Pads-/181749810728?) but they DO NOT FIT.  The new set's backing plate is significantly thinner (1mm) and wider  (2.5mm).  VIN decoder says my bike is made 09 of 88.  It is ABS with a 1989 title.  My Haynes manual talks of sintered metal brake pads for 1989 and on w/a thicker backplate.  The thickness of the the backplate is not necessarily limiting as they will not even fit in the caliper :dunno2: due to the width.  Any thoughts???

Max's lists 2 different pads, for both the ABS and the NON-ABS version.

From Max's fiche 2V non-abs: 34 11 2 331 175

2V abs: 34 21 7 657 025

The 1st one looks to be about 57mm wide, while the 2nd one looks to be just a hair over 55mm wide.
The 1st one fits may bikes K's and R's front only, while the 2nd one fits some fronts(older R's) and more rears(K's 2v and 4v)

I have found that it is hit or miss as far as easy installation.  It appears that they are made with old tooling and as a result they are sometimes a few thousandths oversize.  I have used three sets so far, and one set installed no problem while the other two had some oversize pads that required filing to fit easily.  This is an issue I have grown used to as even the pads I buy for my cars at the local Carquest need a bit of work to fit.  Outside of the fit, I have found these pads to perform well.  I have 15,000 miles on the set on my RT, and except for a little squeal they have worked flawlessly.

I have never had a pad that was more than 4-5 thousandths oversize.  2.5mm sounds like they sent you the wrong parts.   Have you contacted D2Moto?

Thanks Scott...it looks like from your pictures that I have the narrower pad... @55.5mm on my bike currently.  D2moto sent a pad that measures 58mm.   So, on Engle parts books, it says that I should use your first #.  Something ain't quite right.  Engle says the second # is a rear number for R bikes.   :dunno2:  Gryphon, the pictures show that something ain't right...if it was a few .000, I would grind it :bmwsmile.  I'm about to blow a gasket trying to decipher this.  I bought a BMW so that we wouldn't have parts cf's

So, from Max's book says use the second and that measurement matches mine :bmwsmile.  Max's book is far more detailed than Engle's and apparently correct as well.  Anyway, d2moto :deal: sent the wrong pad...a waste of time any money to return for ten bucks.  In the future, I will most likely use Max books... Like you told me to at the beginning.

Jack, as your bike is an '88 on a '89 title you are in luck... Right around that time BMW changed brakes from the narrow backplate to the slightly wider version... My k75rt is of the same vintage and has been crashed once in its previous life, hence a narrow caliper left, and the wider one right... Now that you know it seems all you have to do is take care you order the right, narrow pads, that's all... (I've changed callipers to 2 identicals, easier next time around...)

Dennis,  I bet that was a real cf when you tried to change your pads the first time :dunno.  Apparently, my bike is right at the transition...As long as we keep learning we stay young/alive :bmwsmile.  Personally, for me it was similar to the Zen and the Art of MM, I had a log-jam and need to change my perspective/frame of reference.

First time i thought the guy at the shop simply screwed up, took the grinder and made them fit... Never was truly happy with that solution so ordered new pad and WTF, twice the same problem! Guy wouldn't screw up twice now would he? After some headscatraching and surfing the webs i found out what must had happened in the past. Now i have 2 simmilar, freshly rebuilt callipers down there for pease of mind...
