Transmission oil leaking out the vent

 I have a friends 87 K75, his wife knocked it over and now fluid oozes out the transmission vent, especially when its running, it seems like it pumps out the breather vent and runs down over the exhaust. How do I stop this?

That's interesting, Rickman. How long has it been doing that? How long have you run the engine?  How much is leaking out per day? Have you taken the bike for a ride?

I didn't find anything elsewhere on here. The bike has fluid that slowly oozes out of the tranny vent, when you run the motor you can literally see the fluid come out, run down under the coils, and then drip on the exhaust and smokes like the bike is on fire. Took it for around a ten mile ride and it got worse. A friend told me laying on its side caused an air pocket which in turn causes a vacuum. I wonder if I need to drain the fluid and re-install it???

If that is truly the case then probably just removing the filler cap and putting it back on would equalize pressure.

That's what I am hoping for, I wont see the bike again until Wednesday. The bike also stutters real bad as the rpm's come up too. I wonder if maybe the fuel filter got jarred and is no longer flowing as it should. My first thought was the timing is not advancing, but I believe the bike is electronically controlled.

An electrical connector may also have been jarred loose or pinched. Check them all. Plenty of info about the usual suspects in the Workshop.
