So the '90 K75RT cafe build is coming along nicely. I need to sort out the exhaust and rearsets and then it's just small stuff.

Is the right fork tube extended more than the left?

Thanks Laitch... I didn't notice any issues with the folk legs and it's probably just the gaiters that are uneven. I plan on pulling the fork legs/triples and removing the unused tabs as well as adding some preload and 10w fork oil.

Still in the works;

~ Shorten the exhaust
~ Change out the rearsets
~ Install stainless lines
~ Remove tabs from the front of the gas tank
~ Resolve the reversed fuel indicator issue
~ Dial in the MPH/Tach readings
~ Seafoam the engine and clean injectors.
~ New rear shock

I was looking at the amounts showing above the tree—probably just the angle of the image. I hope you'll do a video of the finished product in action.

Definitely good above the triple... Double checked it when I lowered them.

Very clean look! Where have you hid the battery, and what brand are you using? Also, where did you source the seat?

Battery is an Antigravity 16 Cell (should have got the 12) and it's not hidden. It's in the triangle opening laying down flat.

The seat I made myself but had it covered at a local upholsterer.

Can't wait to post the updated pics but need to finalize a couple things. Stripped an polished the aluminum tank, new custom made rearsets, re-shaped front fender from an '86 painted with an aluminum finish, stainless lines all the way around and a crossover exhaust to the right side for a fully exposed rear wheel.

Nice, nice looking bike! Always a great option on the Ks...I actually don't think the stock pipe looks too bad on the bike. Cross-over will be cool, though. Good luck!

Tires are Kenda Challengers and I'm not sure on the sizes.

Went with the Acewell speedo.

And the ignition switch went here.

The bike looks fantastic! Really looking forward to seeing the updated pics and what you've got for the exhaust and rear sets. I've just picked up a 94 K75rt and am in the process of stripping it down/ordering parts. Hope it can turn out even half as good as this one - great work!

Just got her back from getting the exhaust collector built. Came out pretty good but is loud as hell :yow.

Actually, I cruised it for a while then sat for a while at idle and surprised there were no heat issues.

Did a quick polish on the tank and snapped a couple more pics. Just need to sort out the rear shock and stiffen up the front and it will be done-ish.

Looks great - thx for posting the pics - been following your build and am really impressed! Quick question for you, when you were connecting your acewell, did you cut the wires from the harness that connected to the old speedo cluster or did you find a way to interface the acewell with the harness? I'm a bit stuck on this and don't want to cut it if there is another easy solution

Best bet is to cut the harness and wire it up direct. Do a search on this site for the acewell and you will find the specifics on wiring it up. A few things to keep in mind.

You will need to build a circuit to deal with the cluch/gear position ignition cutoff

When connecting the tach wire make sure to use the provided resistor inline or the reading will "flutter"

You will need to use the provided magnetic pickup to a point on one of the wheels as the stock pickup will not work

You will need to pull the fuel sender from the tank and reverse a part to make it work. Instructions also can be found on this site

Thanks for the helpful tips! Also had one of these recommended to me: brotbox http://maru-labs.com looks pretty cool. I'm inquiring about cost/shipping etc and then will see if it's worth it
