bike has been unused for many years clutch not coming off

hi guys, trying to restore a 1989 K100LT, got it apart with huge difficulty as everything is seiz :dunno2:ed gearbox is off but the clutch wont split, loosend the six allen bolts expecting to spring plate to push and nothing, removed all six bolts and its all still stuck together, re inserted three of the bolts just in case and whaked it with a rubber mallet, nothing, what next please any ideas?

Persistence with a deadblow mallet pounding around and around the circumference of the plate and occasional prying around edge with a flat bar should do it.

Deadblow & rubber mallets impart energy not shock + vibration.

What can I say? Maybe you've only used child-size deadblows. Using one has worked for me when I didn't want to damage parts. A three-pound drilling hammer would do but caution is advised.

As a retired,fully qualified,motor mechanic/technician I have been trained to use all tools with care & caution.Blunt force + ignorance sorts nothing.
The right tool + the knowledge/experience to use it properly is priceless.I have a selection of dead blow hammers(not child sized) & a couple of rubber hammers:I use them when appropriate.I am sorry if others cannot use hammers without causing damage.
