Hello from Alexandria, VA
« on: October 18, 2015, 08:21:56 AM »
Hi Y'all!

been Lurkin' and Searchin' and Learnin' on here for a while, but finally pulled the trigger on a 94 K75s found locally.

I rode Yamaha's a long time ago, and have been building and racing BMW autos for many years.  This is my first Beemer after dozens of Bimmers.  Looking forward to the ride!

Marshall

Sweet.  How many miles on that beauty?  I like the seat - who makes that?

Beautiful bike!

Now, I have a dumb question that maybe someone can answer.  Are there two types of 3-spoke wheels?  My understanding was that the 3-spoke wheels require the later style of center stand.  But, this bike has 3-spokes and the older style of center stand.

Is there a narrower type of 3-spoke wheel?

Thanks,
Tom

The K75S has a different size three spoke that is narrower and a larger diameter from those found on the 16V engine bikes.

My left-side case has a scuff in exactly the same place as on your right-side case. It happened after it was launched off its rack when I hit a field of potholes on a back road. In my rearview mirror I watched it arc gracefully through the air then bounce like a soccer ball across the road and into a roadside ditch. I put it back on the bike with no problem.

Inventory your case supply soon if your bike bangs over a pothole. Put your return address on the back side of the case to have a chance for its return if it parts ways with you while you're preoccupied with keeping the bike on line and don't notice it's missing.
