Will this much Staburags get me anywhere?
« on: October 02, 2015, 06:52:38 PM »
I know many of you have mixed opinions on the stuff, but I landed this for a good price and figured I would share my sarcastic question (Thread Title) with you all.

Come to think of it, I do wonder how long this will last?

Everyone on the forum could stop by for a spline lube and you'd still have some left over.

I paid the standard $50 for my couple ounce tube....but that tube will last me longer than the bike.

Still...Since I had it, I used it up/down the whole drive train - When I pulled the bike apart I still saw remnants of the factory Staburags on all the splines. Sooooooo...I stuck with the original.

My Clutch motion is glass smooth at least. I have another few K before I know how the shaft splines are doing.

Alright my friends... In the spirit of full-disclosure, I messed up. Did you notice three missing letters from that tube? PTM? I pulled the MSDS's for both and, would you believe, two totally different products. Dang it!

Always learning.
