Hi from Ireland.
« on: September 11, 2015, 08:48:48 AM »
Just saying hello from Ireland.

Bought a K100LT June 2010 and K100RT July 2013. I have been using another forum also and have met plenty of other K owners. Quite a few K75/K100/K1100/K1 owners over here.

Between Cork and Limerick is a small place.

I am in Carrigaline, just south of Cork but am in Limerick regularly so a good chance to meet up. I know of 6Ks in Carrigaline alone so plenty around.

There is also another K forum we use quite a lot and some of the members here are on both.

My 92LT is off road at the minute. The RT gets lots of use but is also temporarily down due to fuel pump. I have acquired new seat, clocks locally and bought a new fuel pump and filter and want to get these on over Christmas.

Out of interest we have a Christmas Brunch up at Stradbally Fayre in Co Laois, just off the M8 [take exit from Portlaoise for Carlow, its 10 km down there, on the left.] Or travel across country to Cashel as we stop there at Mother Hubbards about 9.30am for a coffee on the way and meet a few more from Pallasgreen. Tuesday 29th December, Stradbally Fayre 11am to about 1pm so everyone can travel in daylight and get home for family commitments.

Last meet up in August we had 23. Have 16 already on for this one and a few more lurking in the shadows. Christmas pudding is laid on for it too. The deal for this one is that its a sociable one rather than ride out and if weather is not great we travel on 4 wheels instead of 2. We decided that last year as there was a heavy frost forecast.

I use the K a lot, in preference to car so its used all year.

that's Great, I used to be in the BMW Club years ago, they are a bit posh for my liking. I'm from near Kanturk. My neighbour has a k75. I know Jimmy Ellis well. i might go to the New years day run from Douglas court to Roberts cove, haven't done it in years. as for the christmas dinner I'll give it a miss for now but Ill try and organise a run if a few lads are interested around Kerry in the spring. I know a few good roads, Jerh Heffernan is my name by the way

Hi Jerh,

I know Jimmy well too, regular coffee buddies and not much he doesn't know about Ks.

I went to look at a K in Kanturk back in 2013 but didn't buy. Got the RT shortly after from Tralee.

We would be very interested in some routes to Kerry, so now you have to get your neighbour into it too.

We meet up at the Viaduct in Bishopstown 3rd Sunday of the month for breakfast and chat. Jimmy usually comes along too. I met him when we both had Honda 500-4s back in 1975......

Got me thinking about New Years Day now.

Olaf.

Have to get my bike sorted.

Went at ti today, put on a new seat I got from Eire1400, went at the fuel pump and filter but quickly diagnosed they were not the problem, swapped the ICU under the headstock and FICU under the seat and they are ok too. So that leaves Hall sensor and temp sensor. Hall sensor is higher on list because it may have got wet!!!
