Throttle Body Lube Points
« on: September 03, 2015, 10:23:52 AM »
Good morning! I am nearing the end of my teardown phase and will be in the process of rebuilding here soon. Question for you guys. I am finished cleaning the throttlebody and I want to lube the seals and springs with something; however, nothing that is going to attract dust and dirt. I may even leave the seals alone and just put a little something on the springs. I can't find anything that recommends a silicone or a lithium.  Any recommendations as to where or how or what to use to lubricate?

I haven't heard of any need to lubricate them.  If you feel compelled, I would suggest a dry silicone spray.

I installed an ebay throttle body on my bike a few thousand miles ago and I lubed all the moving stuff with T-9 bicycle chain lube.
