Altitude Plug
« on: August 09, 2015, 03:16:14 PM »
94 K1100LT.... So are the altitude plugs not needed on the This bike? I cannot find it anywhere.  I am headed to Crested Butte, CO in a month and need to figure this out. My Clymer manual is mostly for pre 93 bikes and it shows it. I don't have it.  And I have an addendum in the book that has no index so ya got to go page by page in that amended chapter. Nothing there or in my downloaded BMW manual.  I am thinking the motronic or some other computer/electronic device does it automatically on this bike?? Anyone know for sure??

IIRC, the 'altitude' plugs are only on the "jetronic" equipped bikes. Your 1100 won't have it.

Thanks Scott.  Yea, the Clymer says nothing about that in the " chapter 14 addendum for 94 and later models.  the book sucks, but I geuss it  is better than nothing!
