K1100LT Back rest thingy
« on: August 03, 2015, 03:05:18 PM »
My K11LT did not come with the back rest pad thingy on the top box, the holes are there but the pad-speaker assembly had been removed. I am thinking of buying one on Ebay, but  do they offer any comfort or are they hard plastic? I'll have a cushion pad made if the original offers no benefit for wifey.

They are a hard rubber with little to no comfort to them.
I was debating about installing one myself as my top case had a corbin pad mounted, but my wife likes the corbin backrest better(actual decent leather with padding) and I opted for Sena helmet audio system anyway so I don't use my radio much anymore.

I eventually got a new Harley Davidson pad off Ebay for $70, It is very comfortable and doesn't interfere with opening the top box.
