Newbie here.

I marked the clutch pack but missed the flywheel.
Gong back together now  but not sure how to proceed wth the arrangement of the flywheel?

What do the factory marks look like?

Many thanks

I think it's technically the clutch housing you're talking about but it works as a flywheel I suppose.

I would say it should be marked. The factory mark is a fairly big orange paint dot facing the rear of the bike

Again I'll say since the parts are sold separately of each other; the parts must be each be balanced, versus as a package.

The paint mark on clutch parts indicates the heaviest side of the part.

When assembling the clutch the three parts with paint marks should ideally be assembled so that the three paint marks are 120 degrees apart.

Anyone have any idea what it feels like if the pieces are misaligned?

I believe I experienced more vibration

How would you re-align a mis-aligned (possibly) clutch pack if the only mark was the factory mark on the housing?

I'm wondering the same thing on mine. Has more vibration since the rebuild. Couldn't find some of the marks.

Going to check the index mark on the counterbalancer shaft to make sure that isn't mis aligned, and re-shim the frame. I might get some micro scales and weigh the components from the bolt holes to at least get an idea of the balance.

It's my opinion that each part of the clutch pack is balanced separately (that's what I would do if designing something like that), I've had my clutch in multiple configurations and haven't had any excess vibration. YMMV
