Among the many jobs I want/have to do to my 1989 K100 is front brake line replacement. I am very interested in Frankenduck's article on improving the braking on this model (
http://classickbikes.com/ckb.tech/0.ckb.tech.files/2vbrakes/2vbrakes.htm). I have sourced all of the necessary parts here in the UK, but have just one question. My bike has the one piece plastic front mudguard. Will the metal brake pipe that goes from one caliper to the other be OK without a fork brace to reduce flexing?
