Highway Pegs
« on: June 19, 2011, 08:01:30 PM »
I had been looking for a set of highway pegs for my 1100LT and finally settled on Longhorn Offset mounts from Kuryakyn combined with Dually ISO Pegs.
I have ridden with this setup for a couple of years now and really like the flexibility of them. You can position them at any height you want, they are truly comfortable and get your legs out in the fresh air when they start to roast.
The only downside to them is they take your foot away from the rear brake so don't use them in traffic.
Also, you need to use shims as the BMW bars are about .01mm (just a guess) shy of what these fit which is a 1 inch bar. I used a bicycle inner tube cut down but a thin piece of aluminum would probably work better.

Brick tested tough.......

Now all you need is some forward controls.  ;)
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.
