Occasional Stall
« on: March 13, 2015, 09:38:05 AM »
This isn't a big deal but I thought I would throw it out to the wolves to chew on. '93 K1100LT, 121K miles, runs like a champ but very occasionally when coming to a stop it will try to stall in the last few feet. I can catch it, pull the clutch, blip the throttle a little and it settles into perfect idle. Anyone else experienced this?

greetings snowman...

for me it was the 4pin fuel tank connector... every time i would stop it would die... i could give it a little whack and it would keep running...

after pulling the tank and messing with that 4pin it never did it again...

If messin with the electrical connector to the tank don't make any difference.....check the exhaust valve openings.

Air filter is good, it was doing it before I changed it last and now afterwards. It has been 13K since I did the valves and I'll check the connector first as that is the easiest, yeah, I'm beer drinking lazy. The temp is in the 70s here in SD!  :dunno! A sure sign of snow and freezing rain within the week. Going on a ride with the local  beemer chapter tomorrow, first ride of the year!  :riding: I think I'm the only Brick rider, lots of airheads and GS'ssssss

Thanks for the tips.
