RetroTexan's Retro Brick "Kayton"
« on: January 06, 2015, 08:13:37 PM »
I just purchased this 1990 K100 this past weekend out in West Texas. I haven't decided whether I'm going the cafe racer or scrambler route but first thing's first I gotta get her running.

Issues so far include: dead battery (want to replace with a sealed lead acid so I can tuck it under the seat pan if I go cafe), totally gunked fuel system (most likely due to ethanol fuel sitting in the lines for over 3 years in a garage in Texas...hot, hot, hot)

Here are some pics, I'll be adding more as I make a decision and continue on...

Thanks for looking!

(To keep the thread alive)

It's blue, I like the white bits......

In the second to last picture, is that a load of warnings printed on the axe haft? In my head it says stuff like "not for impact use" and "not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts" and possibly "not warranted for use on zombies"

Where did those bags come from? I've never seen that shape before. (Never seen trailer lights on a bag, either, but not a bad idea.)

If you are going to get rid of it, I'd be interested in that windshield...

Nope, don't think so.

Looks like electric type writer cases.
