And I was doing so well. Received my new to me fuel tank Friday and installed my old fuel pump, which ran, and tank internals. The bike fired right up after sitting for a couple of years sidelined with a bad fuel tank. Anyway the bike was running like a champ and I had put a hundred miles on or so this weekend. This afternoon while riding slowly on cobblestones the bike died. I had figured that something had vibrated apart. Got it home fuse is good and I have 12 volts on the green with white stripe and the brown at the tank connector when I push the starter button. According to my wiring diagram that powers the pump. I am thinking my fuel pump has gone south. I will go into the tank tomorrow and pull it out and test. I was wondering if you guys think I am on the right track or am I overlooking something else? I'll know more when I can break things down tomorrow after work. I will see if I have power on the pump leads. I did install a new tank sender unit, anyone have a failure with the wiring in one of those units where it passes into the tank? As back round I purchased the bike, non running, about four years ago and put a new pump in then and got it running well but I the tank leaks kept coming back and I parked the bike so the pump has been sitting in an empty tank for two years.
Any help would be appreciated.
